A friendly and soothing environment serves as the back drop to a team who is dedicated to helping people restore their good health. In many cases manual therapy, Naturopathic Medicine and constitutional hydrotherapy combine in the most synergistic way to enable powerful patient outcomes. The Waterdown Clinic is also committed to education, in the form of seminars and workshops, to support the journey to reclaiming good health.

Our Philosophy

Naturopathic and osteopathic manual techniques are systems of medicine that seek the nature in all conditions. Naturopathic medicine uses powerful yet gentle therapies to stimulate the processes and reliability of nature that encourage and support the body’s innate ability to heal.

At the Waterdown Clinic we are committed to the very fundamentals of Natural Medicine. We work with you on all aspects of your life, incorporating nutritional assessment, lifestyle counseling, and naturopathic self-care to support you on your path to lasting change. Our “decidedly low-tech” approach ensures we have a sound understanding of your concerns and clinical picture. Then, when testing is warranted, we are able to make specific recommendations about the type of testing that would best yield the results we are looking for.

Our initial consultation, provides the information needed to begin developing a long-term health care plan. It allows us to address immediate concerns without losing sight of underlying patterns and the greater health care picture. In our second consultation we are sure to analyze and address chief nutritional concerns that are acting as obstacles to cure. Follow-up visits are shorter and help us to reassess and redirect your care.

We take being a part of your healthcare team very seriously.

What to Expect

Naturopathic Medicine is a paradigm of medicine within which any healthcare issue can benefit. Naturopathic Doctors are trained to assess the entire person and develop treatment strategies that will work best for health restoration and maintenance in that person. We work with both adults and children in both acute and chronic states. The ultimate goal is a return of your body to self-regulation.

Your first and second visits with our NDs are each one hour in length. The initial consultation permits us to begin to get to know one another, gather the information from you that we need, and begin to direct your care. In the second consultation a nutritional assessment and discussion will drive dietary recommendations specific to your situation. Thereafter, we use 30 minute appointments to assess your progress and continue to direct your care.
